FIRST THE FILM OR THE BOOK?

There are too many people who don’t like reading. These kinds of people always know about a book when his film is produced. But for another hand there are also so many people who agree with the topic which says that “always the books are better than films”

Next I will tell you why I absolutely agree with this basing on my personal experiences.

I always get upset with the films I see about books I have read before. It has passed to me a lot of times and it’s really annoying because the film destroys all you had imagined when you read it: your point of view, the landscapes, the characters… The worst part is that even you read it again you would never imagine the scenes as you do it the first time.

Also I have to say that there’s one book which his films I found loyal: The Fault in our stars. I like it because even the dialogues where the same that in the book. Also there were the most of the scenes… but anyway it is a really short book so I don’t think it was so difficult.

I’m sure there are really good films about books but I don’t have read these ones.

Maybe the basic problem is not about if the film is loyal to the book. Maybe the fact is just that you have imagined the story in a way and someone shows you in a different one.

Film review

THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING

The Theory of Everything is the story of Stephen Hawking, the most brilliant physist, and Jane Wilde, a arts student who fell in love with him at Cambridge in the 1960s.
Stephen soon is diagnosed with ALS but Jane stated her for him.  Hawking  becomes less and less able to control his own body.
With the loyal Jane at his side, he continues his work. However, as the years progress, Jane starts to feel more like a nurse than a wife, and Hawking begins to have feelings for a woman who is hired to care for him.

Personally I really enjoyed this film and mades me think a lot. Is a story of overcoming and shows that you never have to lose hope. The character of Jane is admirable because although the few physical abilities of her husband, she always stay by his side. Also I found incredible the way that the  protagonist (Eddie Redmayneinterpret his paper, imitating the real Stephen Hawking. It's really a very good actor. So I recommended because it's a nice and true story about a important person of our time.

Extra; film review

LAST DANCER OF MAO

It is a story based on real events. Li Cunxin, in the chaos of the Cultural Revolution China, was chosen by Chinese Mao's cultural delegates and sent to study ballet in Beijing. After years of very hard learning, he became one of the best dancers in the world. Hailed as a hero at the beginning of communist China, ended up being accused of treason because, during a cultural exchange to Texas, he fell in love with an American girl and tried to stay in the United States.

Personally it is a film that fascinates me a lot, to see the whole evolution of a dancer and these dance techniques leaves me stone. Also you see the hard training he needs to do to become a good dancer. I like also the love story between the protagonist and the girl, and American dances they do together, especially the last dance fan when the two go to China with the family Li and mak
e a beautiful choreography.

LENS THAT CAN RESTORE SIGHT IN OLDER PEOPLE IS BEING DEVELOPED

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-3273821/Could-end-reading-glasses-Lens-restore-sight-older-people-developed-s-material-SMARTPHONE-screen.html

This news published the 15 of October of 2015 in Daily mail, was written by Madlen Davies.

The article talks about a development of new lenses that can stop the deterioration of the vision and probably recuperate the vision of the elderly people.

These lenses will be made of a liquid called crystal and could be implanted by a surgical procedure in the eye. This object will be able in 10 years more a less.

I think it’s a good discovery because with the years everybody has sight problems. I think the problem of this invent will be the price, so I imagine not everybody will be able to pay it. Also I believe that lot of the vision problems that people has are because of the screens of the phones, televisions, computers… so sight problems are not going to stop. Finally I have to say that science always surprise me with invents that even I didn’t imagine.

PHOTOS

With the new technology, nowadays in our society everybody is able to take photos. The point that I want to talk about is this new and stupid necessity in our society of losing time taking photos.

In my opinion this urgency of taking photos or videos of things, persons, events… is a way to keep forever this moments. Is normal that people want to keep in his memory things, to then months or years later remember them. So, you should be asking what is wrong with that.

I will put an example to explain it. Imagine that you record a video where your friend is blowing candles, and then 10 years later you see it. In this moment you won’t be remembering a moment, you just will be imagining how it was. Why? Because while your friend was blowing the candles you, instead of were living this moment, you were recording for live it in the future.

Is very sad to see how people in celebrations, events… are all the time with his phones or cameras taking photos or videos to show this moments to other people or just to see it later… Is a waste of time because at the end, all you will have done will be doing things for the future, and in the future be “remembering” the past.
And what about the present? Nobody let a place for it.

BIG GIRLS ARE OFTEN THE UNSUNG STARS

This news was published the 21 of November of 2015. Amanda Platell wrote it for the Daily mail.

This article is a criticism about some comments of a chief executive of a company. This company was looking for candidates for a job, and the executive during an interview did a sexist and offensive comment: ‘How are we supposed to hire her, did you see what she was wearing and the size of her?’ Of another: ‘She is ugly and overweight and I only employ beautiful women.’

Then Amanda Platell defend the  plump women, and says that this is not unhealthy or bad looking,  and put examples of largest ladies who are  loved by millions like Adele. Finally says that very few women remain slender for life.

I totally agree with this news. I think that too much people have a lot of prejudices and a closed mind about how women have to be. Society shows stereotypes of ladies but this doesn't mean that all the ladies have to be like this. Also, the physic is just the exterior of a person, and the valuable part is inside. Every woman has the right to be as she wants to be, and nobody has to criticism someone for that.
